Had a great training ride today with teammates Meredith, Deb and Adam. Actually was a bit cool (mid 50s) and a little windy and overcast, but we were bundled up good. With just 3 weeks before the June BikeMS ride weekend we are trying to log some good miles and time in the saddle. We did little over 45 miles today and explored a newly paved section of a rails-to-trails path. Tackled some hills today, doing the “Pam Anderson” pair of bigger hills on the road around Kensington. Teammate Scott named them such and that’s what we still call them as we take on the challenge.
38 miles today, 92.9 total – 28 Days until June BikeMS! And 2022 Raffle Winners!
A great 38 mile training ride this morning with Meredith and Deb! Much fun as we tackled the hills with great weather. With less than a month until June 10 & 11th trying to up the mileage. But you all have donated $1625 so far, which is simply incredible and has me training harder with your support and words of encouragement. No promises, but if training goes well I may attempt the 100 mile route on the first day!
Fundraising and Training for West MI June 10 & 11th, 2023 and Frankenmuth in August
Hello All! A little late in starting to fundraise, but yes doing both rides this year! June in Holland, MI with it’s Dutch influence and August in Frankenmuth, MI amid the German culture.
74.2 miles done on Day 2. Great BikeMS West MI experience!
Well success on a 175 mile weekend on our team’s maiden voyage on this side of the state. Finished today about 2:15 just after teammate Adam peeled off to do the extra 25 on the century loop. Felt pretty good all day and for a short minute thought about doing the century again today. I will goto extremes for the kind and generous donations!! But didn’t have it in my body today. Sept’s ride definitely shooting for the 200 mile weekend with all these great donations and the kind words given year round. We are making a difference for those with and affected by MS!!
