Hey all –
Happy almost-Spring! Thanks for all of your well wishes and donations in years past on my BikeMS challenges! Our team is going to do the West Michigan ride this year in June in Holland, MI with a part of the course on Sat or Sun going along the Lake Michigan shoreline for a ways. And several of us will do the September ride in Frankenmuth too, with it’s late Fall unpredictable weather!

I am planning of doing at least 75 miles each day of both the West Michigan and Frankenmuth rides. They canceled the July Mid Michigan Lansing ride due to numbers and COVID so a June ride means one less month of nice weather to train in, but have been getting on Katie’s spin bike a bit already the past month and looking forward to the warmer days ahead.
We just had our team kickoff luncheon yesterday and it was energizing to get even more training in before June 11 & 12. Team Circle of Friends captain Tanya is still our inspiration and motivation to keep riding the training and event miles to help her and others, with the quest to help end MS hopefully soon. Tanya will be out there riding West Michigan ride with all of us, and her daughter organizes a bike ride for kids too (I’ll send the link when it’s available later this summer).
Not having done the West MI course before, I am gonna ask around and find out if there any farmer’s markets on the route. If so, will pick up some treats to raffle off to sponsors. But will definitely pick up some Holland / West MI swag for 2 lucky sponsors too. And I can get a farmer’s market treat on the Sept Frankenmuth ride as well.
