Great 1st Day – We won the wooden shoe award!

Had dinner in the dorm and during the MS Society presentation, our team won the traveling trophy of the wooden shoes for this year, for the highest fundraising team as of today. Hooray for Captain Tanya for the honor and thank you all for your donations as you have lifted our team above Team Ford and Team GM.

Caught up with Scott and Laura again after dinner. They bought us all Kilwin’s ice cream and delivered all the raffle goodies that they are donating for me to raffle off next weekend. Scott’s favorite granola amongst other delicious local goodies! See the Raffle Page.

And I picked up three bottles of wine today at Fenn Valley our 50 mile rest stop today.!!

Ride was tough today with the wind and a speed that was maybe too high for me. But when in Rome… gotta go for it!! Here are some more photos from today

Tanya is sleeping. She and Mark rocked some miles today. Mark, Adam and I are hanging out for a bit longer before catching zzzs for tomorrow. I am not sure I can do the 75 tomorrow given I kicked my ass good today. But will do at least 50…. hopefully will sleep better tonight but the adrenaline gets us through. Thanks for all the comments and texts — helped power me through. Will check with you tomorrow at lunch again probably as the morning is a little chaotic in terms of timing!
